Capacity Ireland is a community based training provider offering high quality training and work experience that provides our learners and services users with learning and employment opportunities that would not otherwise be available to them. We also provide a range of organisational development services, including bid writing, project management and centre and assistance with centre and qualification accreditation. Capacity Ireland is a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee.
EUROPEAN WORK EXPERIENCE
Erasmus+ is the European Union programme for education, training, youth and sport for the years 2014 to 2020. Capacity Ireland has successfully applied for funding for our Community-Based Ecology and Conservation project (CBEC) under Key Action 1 the Vocational Education and Training strand of the Erasmus+ programme, which provides funding for Irish training organisations to send learners and staff on work experience placements in other EU countries.
Our 'Community-Based Ecology and Conservation' Erasmus+ project provides 3-month paid work placements in Sevilla, Spain, which are available to learners undertaking the Level 3 Award in Community Development qualification. The Erasmus+ funding covers the cost of return flights, travel insurance and accommodation and bills during the time in Spain, with students also receiving €100/week for living costs.
TRAINING AND LEARNING
Capacity Ireland offers a range of vocational qualifications for the Community Development, Digital Media and Creative Industries sectors, as well as Literacy, Numeracy, English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and Information Communication and Technology (ICT) for both young people and adults. We embed ‘soft’ skills and personal development within all of our training programmes offer work experience opportunities, including work placements based in Spain funded by the Erasmus+ programme.
CONSULTANCY
Capacity Ireland provides consultancy services for training and employment organisations, including bid writing, project management, centre accreditation and qualification development. Our staff team has an excellent track record in securing and managing European funding. We are able to support training organisations in achieving accredited centre status with recognised awarding bodies and can also facilitate development of bespoke qualifications in response to learner needs and employer requirements.
