Join an award winning and highly respected architectural and interior design practice in a new, key role for their centralised technical group. Reporting into the Head of Technical, you will work as the Technical Specification Lead, responsible for developing and maintaining specification standards across the practices project pipeline specifically leading their transition from CAWs to Uniclass. As Technical Specification Lead you play a vital role in ensuring project information remains coordinated, compliant, and aligned with current legislation and industry best practice. The position combines strategic leadership with active project involvement, alongside shaping practice-wide standards on major projects in the UK and Overseas.

To be successful in this role the Technical Specification Lead will lead the practice-wide transition from CAWS to Uniclass 2015 using their cloud-based construction spec platform. You will be expected to develop a suite of master-specs to establish processes for creation, review and issue of the specs throughout project lifecycle, acting as lead specifier on major projects and supporting wider teams in resolving complex construction related issues. This role requires someone who is able to work closely with the practice’s digital team to focus on improved integration into the wider BIM workflow. A key part of the position is around developing technical confidence capability across the multiple teams via workshops and mentoring.

The ideal candidate for this role will have extensive UK construction industry experience, focussed mainly around architectural and/or interior fit-out specification work. Strong understanding of Uniclass, the Building Safety Act and BIM, plus the ability to communicate this understanding effectively is also key. Professional qualifications such as MCIAT, RIBA or CIOB would be expected, unless someone has the relevant equivalent experience. For more information and a detailed job spec outlining the role call Dominic Jacques on 020 7960 2551 or click apply. Role includes a highly competitive salary and benefits package, as well the freedom and autonomy to work in a lead role for an excellent practice.
