This opportunity would suit someone with a minimum of 10 years proven industry experience who is both technically and commercially focussed. You could be at Senior grade and looking for the next step up

Location
Shrewsbury, Reading or Cardiff

Responsibilities
• Project manage/direct and technically lead water resources projects that deliver high quality, pragmatic advice and solutions to the water industry (notably supporting water companies in the delivery of their National Environment Programme).
• Actively support commercial development plans by developing and growing my clients water industry client base across the UK.
• Use existing and new industry contacts to develop leads and opportunities. Successfully translate opportunities into projects through effective client management and proposal writing.
• Support the Water Group Director in managing team resources and commercial aspects of the team.
• Mentor and develop junior staff

Capabilities and Qualifications:
• A postgraduate qualification in Hydrogeology or a related environmental scientific discipline (including hydrology, hydroecology and environmental science)
• 10+ years’ experience in of working in the water industry, either as a consultant or directly for a water company
• Sound understanding of the Water Framework Directive, and ideally have experience in undertaking WFD assessments both within and external to the water industry.
• Chartered status (or near to achieving)
• A strong track record of developing opportunities, winning work and managing client relationships, preferably in the UK water industry
• Proven project management skills
• Excellent people management skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Full driving licence
• Ability and willingness to routinely travel between various offices
