Our client is a specialist environmental consultancy with a strong and diverse pipeline of projects throughout the UK and Ireland. They have built their success through the appointment of highly motivated individuals and investing heavily in staff training and development.

They are currently seeking a Graduate Environmental Consultant to join their Glasgow-based EIA and work on a range of exciting projects in the renewables, energy transmission, property and infrastructure sectors. You will have an ability to undertake quantitative assessments in air quality and dispersion modelling but also have the opportunity to develop your skills in other environmental disciplines including noise, ecology, hydrology, waste and contaminated land.

Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

As a member of the environmental team assisting in Environmental Statements (ES) and Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), responsibilities will include:

* Assist on EIAs for a variety of developments across Scotland
* Undertake DMRB air quality assessments utilising air quality/ dispersion models
* Manage FRAG waste monitoring and reporting and compile Waste Management Licence applications
* Assist in environmental noise assessment of proposed developments
* Assist in preparation of technical reports, proposals and other documentation
* Liaison with colleagues, client and other stakeholders

Qualifications / Experience:

* Degree educated or higher in a relevant discipline (e.g. Environmental Science)
* Previous experience working within an environmental consultancy team is desirable but not essential
* Understanding of UK environmental policy and legislation
* Excellent verbal and written communications skills
* Full driving licence
