Our client is a large, global multi-disciplinary consultancy. They are looking to hire a BIM Lead to head up the BIM team in the South of England. The successful candidate will be based in either the Reading or London office. This company is known for their work on large infrastructure projects and they also have sizeable environmental, energy and oil and gas teams.

In this role you will be responsible for ensuring the company achieves BIM Level 2 on projects. With BIM Level 3 expected to be a requirement soon, this hire has this in mind as they are looking to set out long term blueprints for how they will achieve Level 3 and provide further innovation.

Responsibilities

* Define, build and lead a collaborative BIM enabled team
* Developing BIM as a standalone service offering to existing and new clients
* Work with our Information Management team to develop our Common Data Environment and digital work flow offering
* Engage functional Technical Leaders and BIM advocates/practitioners to form a business wide BIM leadership team
* Developing a strategy to create an environment and the infrastructure to make BIM (Digital Engineering) & Delivery the preferred way of working
* Supporting the development of BIM related training/career paths for authors, Information Managers, co-ordinators, reviewers etc
* Challenge and develop appropriate methods for engagement with client and stakeholders to ensure lean delivery
* Set a framework into how we can increase the efficiency of design process to increase the intelligence of the data, and ultimately increase profit.

Experience Required

* Implementation/development of BIM into Multi-Disciplinary Environment
* Expert knowledge of Autodesk and Bentley software
* Ability to communicate at all levels and influence decision makers
* Capacity to develop training material and to teach and support usage of BIM products and processes
* Experience of establishing a Common Data Environment (CDE) including processes and procedures aligned with PAS 1192 to enable reliable information exchange between Project Team Members, the Employer and other parties
* Ability to articulate the benefits of BIM to a technical/non-technical internal and external audience
* Experience of establishing, agreeing and implementing the information structure and maintenance standards for the Information Model
* Initiate and implement a Project Information Plan and Asset Information Plan

Desirable Experience

* Seeking, developing and implementing innovative BIM services/products for our existing and new clients
* 4D & 5D experience
* Experience of developing BIM marketing information
* Practical application of change management
