Due to an increase in workload and growth of the company, a leading flood risk, modelling and civil engineering consultancy are looking to strengthen their team through appointing a flood risk consultant into their Brighton office. This is a great opportunity to join an established flood risk team with flexibility to take responsibility across various stages of the project lifecycle.

Role & Company:

With your three years+ experience in the industry, you will provide feasibility and design advice to clients in development and land use planning markets. You will be attending site visits and meetings with clients, consultants and contractors, working on projects from conception to completion. Our client is looking for a hardworking and motivated individual who is willing to get involved in every aspect of the role, working both independently and within a team.

From its inception over 15 years ago, our client has grown to become a renowned global leader in flood modelling and flood risk. With a large international presence alongside their growing UK business, they produce flood risk data, flood maps, risk maps, perils data and reports for the land and property sector, insurance companies, utilities and governments. Their highly specialised team are able to help with both rapid assessments and in-depth research that supports decision-making around flood risk.

Qualifications & Experience:

* Minimum degree in geography, environmental management or engineering and have a good technical background with substantial and proven industry experience
* Proven experience in undertaking drainage assessments and design, SuDS analysis and assessments, FRAs, SFRAs, SWMPs in the UK
* Significant experience in several UK recognised flood modelling packages, such as ISIS, ISIS 2D, HEC-RAS, TuFLOW, Flood Modeller, INFOWORKS RS/CS/ICM, MIKE11/21, MicroDrainage WinDES
* Knowledge of both 1D and 2D modelling methods and their application to a range of studies
* Working towards, or desire to work towards chartered status within CIWEM or ICE
* Strong verbal and written communication skills (to be utilised in report writing and presenting to clients)
