Control Centre Operator - Wind Farms on an FTC for initially a 6m period required for a successful renewable energy company in Edinburgh.

This is a full time position, working a rotating shift pattern. Covering the core hours required for the role which are currently between 07:00 – 21:00 Monday to Friday and 08:00 – 16:00 on weekends.

There is an appetite for the Control Centre to become a 24/7 operation in the future.

You'll be working within the Control Centre department and reporting to the Control Centre Manager, this role requires the ability to develop close working relationships with colleagues across many departments.

You will have an active role in the Control Centre monitoring wind farms via a variety of SCADA systems, and ensuring the appropriate response is delivered to faults and alarms.

You'll be someone with a genuine passion for the wind industry, and This role will be doing the day to day aspects of the Control Centre, answering calls, booking people onto the site, completing inductions.

You'll also have most of the following key skills or experience:

* Excellent advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
* Engineering or physical science degree.
* Experience of wind energy, wind turbine technology and SCADA systems.
* Strong analytical skills
* Good telephone manner
