Senior Environmental Consultant/ Ecologist

Due to the success and growth of Aqualicense Limited, we are currently recruiting for a highly experienced Consultant to join our team and support the expansion of our services.

Position:  Senior Environmental Consultant/Ecologist

Location: Wicklow

Job Type: Full Time 

Salary: Negotiable, dependent on experience.

Report to: Chief Operations Officer

Main Duties and Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Project management and coordination of Environmental Impact Assessments and other associated environmental assessments

• Preparation and delivery of specialist chapters of Environmental Statements and Reports

• Provision of technical input to environmental assessment projects, including data collection and analysis

• Ensuring that the quality of deliverables is to a consistently high standard and ensuring that all deliverables are undertaken in accordance with relevant legislation, best practice and verified with our in-house counsel

• External stakeholder engagement

• Ensuring the delivery of exceptional Client services

Essential Qualifications and Expertise:

We are looking for a Candidate with the following knowledge, experience and attributes:

• A relevant postgraduate degree or relevant experience

• Significant experience in the management, coordination and delivery of Environmental Impact Assessments, and drafting and completing all associated Reports

• Expertise in one or more of the following: Water Quality, Ornithology, Fisheries, Marine Science, Modelling and Mapping

• Excellent report writing and technical reviewing skills

• Excellent organisational, project management and coordinating skills

• Positive and enthusiastic attitude, willing and able to work as a team and motivate others

• Self-motivated, pragmatic and solution-driven

Desirable Experience:

• Experience in GIS 

• Experience with statistical packages and software

• Experience working within marine, aquaculture and/or fisheries sectors

• A PhD or equivalent experience

• Experience of engaging with external stakeholders

• Full membership of a relevant professional body

• Excellent communication skills and exceptional client interfacing skills
