We are MP Smarter Travel, a growing London-based urban sustainability consultancy looking for a Stakeholder Engagement Consultant to lead on and support a variety of projects in London.

Types of projects will include:

* Leading on public consultations and stakeholder engagement on behalf of local authorities to support urban realm, transport and sustainability projects;
* Engaging schools, businesses, local communities and places of worship to understand their travel patterns and recommend suitable measures to increase travel to sites by walking and cycling;
* Working with schools, businesses and target demographic groups to secure their participation in local authority and Business Improvement District (BID) sustainability programmes.

We are a consultancy specialising in public engagement, urban realm schemes and zero emissions transport. Our key clients are local authorities, Business Improvement Districts and developers in the London area. Our office is based in Southwark. Key skills and experience:

* Background in communications, public consultations, stakeholder/community engagement (essential)
* Public speaking and workshop hosting (essential)
* Background in the fields of transport, development, urban realm, architecture or town planning (highly desirable)
* Analysing public consultation responses and writing reports to summarise findings (highly desirable)
* Marketing, campaigning and social media (highly desirable)
* Knowledge of software applications for public consultations and stakeholder engagement (highly desirable)
* Working in schools and places of worship, working with local communities and ‘hard to reach’ groups (desirable)
* Organising workshops and other small to medium-sized events (desirable)
* Working in a consultancy (desirable)
* Leading on projects (desirable)
* Educational background and/or 1 to 2 (or more) years’ experience in public/stakeholder engagement (essential)
