Our client is currently looking to expand their geotechnical engineering capability within their Civil Engineering team, and have a vacancy for a senior geotechnical engineer. They are an award-winning civil and structural consultancy with offices throughout Ireland.
Their office portfolio includes a mixture of heavy civil engineering infrastructure projects such as ports, tunnelling and flood defence schemes, as well as commercial and residential building developments and temporary works designs associated with deep basement construction in urban environments.
Role requirements:
· Minimum of 5 years’ experience in geotechnical engineering with proven technical knowledge of geotechnics and relevant software
· Detailed knowledge of eurocodes and current engineering codes of practice
· Effective written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to work to deadlines and excellent planning and organisation skills
· Ability to work independently
The attributes required to successfully fulfil this role are:
· A degree (minimum 2.1) or Masters in civil or geotechnical engineering
· Minimum of 5 years’ geotechnical design experience
· Chartered engineer or approaching chartered engineer status
